Lara Masse MBA, CEC, PCC
Leadership Effectiveness Consultant | Executive Coach | Trainer

An experienced leadership effectiveness consultant, trainer, facilitator and executive coach, Lara specializes in the stage development of emerging managers, leaders, and executives. She has worked across North America, helping clients to define success on their own terms, engage their teams, voice what needs to be heard, and in the process, transform themselves, their teams, and the organization from the inside, out.

Regarded as a change agent, a solutioneer, and a tenacious pursuer of what’s possible, she is a compassionate professional who can make uncomfortable situations comfortable, bridging the gap between fear and possibility. She understands firsthand the challenges that both individuals and organizations face in today’s complex business environment. More importantly, she has through her own discovery effort, come to learn just how greatly the quality of leadership influences the organization and it's most important asset – the people. Through this knowledge, she holds deeply a belief that developing leadership is a powerful way in which to engage or re-engage those who have the greatest impact on the organization, driving positive results that affect corporate culture, a distinct and sustainable competitive advantage, and ultimately, the bottom line.

With more than 25 years of senior level responsibility and experience with industry leaders such as Stantec, Kasian, Alberta Health, and the University Hospitals, Lara enjoys a reputation for the creation and delivery of highly successful programs. Having operations, management, and leadership responsibility throughout her career, she understands firsthand the challenges that individuals and organizations face in today’s ever-changing business environment. She has provided coaching and consulting services to a wide range of clients who are emerging leaders, managers, and executives – individuals who want to be the very best they can be. Over the past decade, Lara has developed within herself an aptitude for coaching individuals on how best to balance “smart” with “heart.” This brain-based approach to leadership has helped her to guide clients who are making the leaders trek, in a world where emotions and vulnerability are often checked at the front entrance.

Lara earned her Certified Executive Coach (CEC) credentials with the Faculty of Management and Leadership Studies at Royal Roads University, and is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and active member of the International Coach Federation (ICF). She holds a master of business administration (MBA) degree and more recently, completed a graduate certificate in inspired leadership (gcIL) from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.

She has received a number of prestigious awards in recognition for her work – including an eAward in recognition of Outstanding Individuals in the Team Performance category, for project direction and leadership; a Canadian Information Productivity Award of Excellence for Organizational Transformation; and a Circle of Excellence Award for Business Performance / Strategic Orientation.
